TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION

Our aim is to develop a thriving community of Qualified Practitioners, who are competent and confident in the use of our products.

THE TRAINING JOURNEY

 

Initial Training

For all products, training starts with initial training in the Apter Motivational Style Profile (AMSP). The rationale for this is to ensure that you have:

  • A sound training in the theoretical basis of our tools, which is Reversal Theory;
  • A better understanding of your own motivational styles, to reinforce that learning and help your related to clients when using the tools; and
  • Opportunities to practice giving feedback and prepare for working with groups.
Initial Training consists of:
  • Pre-event reading and completion of two profiles – your own plus a friend or colleague;
  • Two days of training;
  • Three more practice AMSPs; before returning for
  • One additional day during which we review your experience of using the AMSP and ensure that any remaining questions you may have are answered.

At this point you become certified to use the AMSP as an Apter International “Qualified Practitioner”.

 

Advanced Training Options

Once trained in the AMSP you may complete additional training units (currently all one day) in:

Leadership Development using the Apter Leadership Profiling System (ALPS);

Using the AMSP for Team Development.

Advanced Practice using the Emotional Structure of Reversal Theory

For 2008 we are also intending to run training courses in Developing Change Agents using the Apter Change Agent Profile (ACAP).
